Position Rank/Title: Visiting Instructor in Chineseâ€”Four Year

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the University of Central Florida is seeking to hire an instructor to teach Mandarin Chinese. Position is expected to begin August 2012

Minimum requirements: M.A. in Chinese (Mandarin) from an accredited institution at time of hire; Fluency or near native fluency in Chinese and high level of English proficiency.

Preferences: ABD or Ph.D. preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level. Experience in program development and instructional media is strongly desired. If possible, a video of a class that the applicant has taught recently would be appreciated.

The salary for this position is negotiable with full benefits. If not a US citizen the appointment is contingent upon procuring and maintaining the appropriate immigration and/or visa status prior to the effective date of the appointment and for the duration of the appointment.
