Jenny dear, could you please relay to Dilu that I made the same kind of mistake in my Chinese Bilingual 3 class. I used the word "ass" as bottom to help explain the verb "坐下". I chose the non-mainstream word to wake my students up on a Saturday afternoon since their general sentiment is they would rather be somewhere else and were "forced" by their parents to learn Chinese. Much to my consternation, one boy said: "Oh, teacher says a bad word!" Two days later at work, my co-workers burst out laughing when I told them this incident. They explained to me that the word is crude but not obscene and not suitable for children in a school setting. I was concerned about their parents' reaction because unlike the Traditional Chinese stream or the Simplified Chinese stream, their parents are native born Americans who know the nuances of the English language. It turned out they were more amused than offended. They probably witnessed their parents going through the same struggle in learning the English language.

Nevertheless, I was genuinely upset because my memory and understanding of ass is "donkey" and "bottom". It is a very wholesome word. I complained to Cardinal Wuerl of Washington DC (formerly the Bishop of the Diocese of Pittsburgh) that Americans have corrupted the word "ass", which is a perfectly good word from the Bible. More amusement from the clergy.

Actually, the way I see it, "pissed" is not out of context in this unscripted adult setting. Many of us would most likely use that word in this kind of situation and maybe go to confession afterwards for lack of patience. We are not perfect and there are more evil acts in this world than saying the word "piss" in a moment of frustration. Truth be told, in certain things my children are more street smart than me and in a way this is good because they have to survive in the real world.

在网上找到了“少不了”的基本解释:

1.不可缺少。

2.不会缺少。

3.谓数量一定多﹐不会少。

这里的意思是“一定会”。
