Hi Pete,

It was a delight to meet all of you :) can you use 算了 when bargaining? say if the price is too high, you say forget it, 算了 meaning I won't buy?

I was privileged to witness the recording of this funny and useful lesson. Everyone from chinesepod was very 認真!

I still can’t figure out the meaning of expression 算了,  I thought算了is to agree to something. When I first listened it to, I thought the guy agreed to just 蹲。

I enjoyed this QW :)

should 掉 always follow 下? would it be correct to say蘋果從樹上掉了。 I recently read a beautiful novel entitled " Falling Leaves", can it be translated as 掉葉子?

I enjoyed this lesson and especially the terms "雙手雙腳" and "雙重標準" easy to remember, easy to use :)

好像上海的飯店都是這樣-要排隊掛號的!我們都坐不下就在路上吃。

How do you say controversial in Chinese? At the begining Jenny mentioned 很有道德 something的問題? 謝謝

I really enjoyed this Qing Wen. 沒面子 is the same as 丟臉 right? 丟臉 to throw your face, shameful. My father would monitor my grades in school because 不及格很丟臉

Is it correct to say 北京的溫度是負二度 in Chinese Math negative numbers are called 負數, eg -1 =負一,-8= 負八 etc I often hear my friend say 零下度 (degrees below zero)
