I had a mocha at the Beijing airport and it wasn't anything like what I get here, but I needed my caffeine and chocolate fix! Two question for Amber: How do you write the characters for Starbucks? Also, how do I make this order in Chinese? "I want a mocha, no whip cream, and low-fat milk?" I'll probably be in Taipei for a few weeks during the winter, so this will come in handy! thx!

Since I work for a high tech comany in the Silicon Valley, I found this lesson very useful!! :-) I will use it as fodder for our IT Ops group!!! I've posted the lesson on my door, to the amusement of my Chinese colleagues. QUESITION WRT 糟糕 What mental image comes to the Chinese mind when they think of 糕? I don't suppose it is a birthday cake, since that's Western cuisine.

During the podcast, Jennie mused, "I'm a hottie." Is there a Chinese equivalent to express that someone is extremeley attractive?

P.S. This is also the case with dialogue and the vocabulary. No sound if I use firefox, which is my preferred browser. If this could be addressed soon I would certainly appreciate it. 谢谢!

With regard to michele's problem with sound, I am facing something similar. I cannot hear the sound links using firefox, but I can using IE. 为什么？

Why is 帅 listed as "commander in chief" in the supplementary vocabulary?

In the expansion, one of the sentences is: 你家离公司多远？ (Is your home far from the office?) Shouldn't the translation be "How far is your home from the office?"
