也许不只是当地的关系，又可能因为过这种迷信的习俗的大多半的是乡下人。太可惜了！摩登人越世故越单调。我同意 xiansanzui 所提的意见， 这种传统习惯是中国文化很丰富的特点之一。

荷兰 Hélán=Holland and The Netherlands
霍兰德 Huòlándé is another transliteration but I think you're correct lydia in that it's in reference to the surname Holland, as in the maudlin Richard Dreyfus movie about an opus 霍兰德先生的歌剧 Huòlándé xiānsheng de gējù.

談装宽带中国跟美国不一样：平常在美国自己要装，就是说在中国服务好多了。另一不同的是一般的美国宽带比国际的标准慢得很。

Wǒjiā yǒu hǎojǐge rén：wǔge jiěmèi (sheí ràole wǒ ma？)，yīge dìdi，fùmǔ，hái yǒu ge jìfù (stepfather).
