After my clothes have already been washed, how do I say, "I'm waiting for my clothes to dry" ?
Whether I hang my clothes to dry, or if I use a dryer (烘干机, hōnggānjī), in English the sentence would be "I'm waiting for my clothes to dry". Would it be the same for both in Chinese?

I also tried searching "washing clothes" and 洗衣服 and this lesson didn't show up for those two searches either

April 23, 2013 at 5:42 PMinteresting, but there's one part that I'm still curious about. Mandarin uses the verb 搭 (搭乘), and it's quite common. So, why change this original verb 搭 to 打, when there don't seem to be any other similar usages of 打. Like I wrote up above, I don't think we can add 打 to any other mode of transportation, such as any of the following: 打火车， 打公车，打飞机， 打三轮车，打人力车. However, we can use 搭 for at least two of those, and maybe all of them?
