June 10, 2013 at 9:40 AMcool lesson. It was a bit simple for intermediate, but that's alright.
Question:
If the housekeeper is a male, what Chinese word do we use? I know we can't say 阿姨, because the 阿姨 comes from the word "aunt" from what I understand. I know that a male housekeeper would be unheard of in China, but some people have male housekeepers in the West, such as Jerry Seinfeld

June 8, 2013 at 2:47 AMdo some people really think 皮蛋(pi2dan4) is gross, and won't eat it? I think it looks fine, and tastes great. I had it with quail eggs recently, instead of the normal chicken eggs.
This dish has a handfull of English names. The one I've been teaching my Chinese students is "century egg"

June 4, 2013 at 3:13 PMI like this topic. This is the second lesson C-pod has done on input methods. 注音符号 (Zhùyīn fú hào) wasn't mentioned in either of them, which doesn't make sense at all, but that's alright

June 10, 2013 at 9:47 AMit looks like there's a typo in the third sentence of the lesson intro.
"Having someone else do your work for you means that it would always be the way that you like it."
It should be with "won't" instead of "would"
