Good work guys.Is it possible to search for other users? Sometimes a user hasn't posted in a while, but you'll remember they left a good tip about something and that can be a way to navigate to it.

hobielover ,

Thanks for that mate. Now that you point it out,I can see the lower half of 空 is a squished down 工 which I know for work, but I didn't know 穴 for hole,so it's even better knowing exactly where the character has come from.As 空 can also mean sky or air,I'll keep my way as well.Cheers :)

糟糕:Editing issues.I had written:

Or as Lao Tzu famously said,"A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step" [千里之行,始于足下] and it's nice to have lots of little steps and no canyons to have to negotiate.I'm enjoying the magnificent scenery along the way without needing to see the awesome Grand Canyon[大峡谷]。

user19008,

Yeah,I've definitely noticed this, especially with Intermediate level. But I'm sure it's a deliberate move in response to feedback about the jump from Ellie to Intermediate being a bit big. This may have resulted in a little adjustment at all levels.I know what you mean though. It can feel a bit like Bobby Brady in the Big Little Man episode where he keeps trying to stretch himself and his siblings independent of one another each lowers the baseline mark he's comparing his height against.Pretty soon he's feeling like he's made some major jumps in his height and is feeling tall.I suspect no such ploy here though. The dialogues are what they are and I appreciate the lifeline. It will also make the earlier Intermediate lessons more accessible when I have time for them.Every shade of grey/level of difficulty really helps I find.As Bill Murray said in the movie "What About Bob?","baby steps, baby steps".Or as Lao Tzu famously said,"A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step" [千里之行,始于足下].Now where's my goldfish?

sushan,

"致悼迟者"。。。哈哈。。我很喜欢。。谢谢。though I think it's hard to beat the English on this one.I think there will be something lost in translation...the sound of Ben Stiller saying eugoogly seriously...you can't replicate that. You did well finding a translation though.Thanks.

Whenever I see 空 I think of someone jumping for joy and breaking free of something weighing them down:

Perhaps Meryl Streep got closer to the shape in the Movie Mamma Mia:

So what's the answer to Question 2 in Exercise3 ?

I had it as :song4 gei3 but it won't accept that.I have never seen this exercise require 2 blanks filled in.Is there a different format for writing the answer here?

谢谢你[xiěxiě nǐ] for confirming that.
