hehe,舒服死了【literally comfortable to death....super comfortable] struck me as funny the first time...even though I realised it just meant extremely comfortable,the literal did make it seem a bit comical...imagining a sloth degenerating into a state where even the heart couldn't be bothered beating.

Personally I have no problem with someone expressing their opinion even if it is constructive critism that may be diametrically opposed to my viewpoint [in fact that can be very interesting and there may be something to learn from it],but I can't help but feel that personal attacks aren't beneficial to community spirit.This is such a great community.Let's just be the best mates we can be,showing mutual respect despite out differences and work together to learn this great language and culture under the umbrella of the awesome and inspiring CPod team.

..I understand what you mean by a dedicated app and think that's a great idea.I'm curious though how it downloads the latest lessons.Is it through a browser at that point? [forgive my ignorance]

Good lord, children know the deal from about ages 6+, whatever you may wish to believe about childhood innocence

..sure,but the issue often isn't whether kids are acquainted with the facts of life or not,but rather what is the take home message from listening to adult content...how will they process it,etc.Will they misconstrue things [not having the advantage of maturity and ability to put things in perspective] and get the wrong impression of what is appropriate? I completely agree with al_walker.

So do we really need to know if 一遍 can be applied to the process of 做爱? 

..well no,like a lot of vocab,it's not essential,but actually I think learning euphemisms is very useful,especially as you point out the need to be culturally sensitive as in this case with good Chinese girls.

be a complete language course, able to take you from no knowledge to advanced and confident without a need for outside material

..completely agree.I've loved every lesson I've listened to and wouldn't change any of them.I agree how important it is to explore all aspects of the language including the more risque.Every lesson has also been so entertaining.Keep 'em coming.I merely agree with John's move the other day to put a PG13 at the start of a lesson where CPod feels it is warranted for the benefit of those that have young kids and accomodate an international audience with a variety of belief systems.This would increase choice and learning on your terms.Jiayou.

Well I can't say this lesson bothered me at the time [but my kids weren't listening in] but I was grateful when John gave a PG 13 warning at the start of one of the lessons the other day.In lessons like the love series it is predictable that there may be some adult type content,but not predictable in a lesson like this.I suppose given this is an International community there is going to be varying degrees of cultural and religious sensitivities,especially when there are kids listening in.This would be very easy to overlook when it does seem like its mostly adults or teens on the site.

I don't know about your mobile device,but does it not only download the lesson but save it for listening to later? [I couldn't as far as I could tell anyhow on my iPhone].Also,previously you couldn't get all the other tabs like vocab and expansion.Have you checked out the mobile tab under resources?

Wow,the new mobile learn chinese app looks really cool.I'll have to ask 圣诞老人 {Santa} for the iPhone version for Xmas.Currenly I have the quick review app and a link to the mobile version of the site on my phone.I take it this new app will replace the quick review app and will have flashcards and dictionary as well? With the mobile version of the site I do already listen to the latest lesson if I'm out and about,but it doesn't seem to keep this download if I wanted to listen to it later.I can keep up with the other parts of the site on it such as the community.I'm wondering why the features of the new app weren't just enabled in the mobile version of the site,but I guess the answer is for technical reasons.Anyhow,when it's all up and running I'd be interested in the best way to use it all on a mobile.Thanks CPod .Jiayou.

I liked the little 吧 you snuck in there in your explanation at the end:

"把羽绒服脱了吧"

We have the double 了pattern.Is there such a thing as the double ba pattern [different characters I know,but they seem to go nicely together here]?

I liked the 热闹 background in this lesson.The one time it can be really hard to make out what another person is saying in English [when there's very loud music like at a 夜总会 or concert],so should be extra challenging in Chinese.
