December 20, 2009 at 8:28 AMMakes sense that QQ International is all about focussing on foreigners living in China.Sounds imperative for them.I'm curious about the main benefits to foreigners not living in China. The main one that springs to mind is finding language partners.Any others? Also,I s'pose it will run ok on Windows 7 [as it only mentions xp and vista]? I s'pose I'll just have to give it a shot and find out. Thanks again for the iPhone app.
I'm not sure how it syncs with standard QQ ,but found this:
4.For Qzone fans, a quick link as been added to the platform to access directly your Qzone page in Chinese.
5.With simple right-click on a contact, you now have the option to visualize this contact’s Qzone in Chinese.

uggsrocker2,
steep seems a very straightforward word downunder [but I s'pose we did start out as a British colony]..still I'm surprised it's not more universal in English speaking countries.Commonly collacates with tea and I would have thought would be a common word in cookbooks.
eupnea63355,
Surely you must have seen the Seinfeld episode where George's dad goes into the Korean beauty salon with Elaine? If not,I'm sure you'd find it funny. :)

December 11, 2009 at 4:00 AMsvik,
As soon as I knew we were to have a lesson on skiing, that was the first thing I wanted to know about.I've known heaps of Aussies go to Japan for skiing but I don't recall anyone telling me they went skiing in China.Shanhai_helios has mentioned Yabuli which wikipedia says is near Harbin and is China's largest ski resort:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yabuli_Ski_Resort
shanghai_helios has also mentioned Wanlong which is in Hebei province.
Yeah,I'd love to hear more discussion about China's ski resorts, how they accomodate snowboarders etc ,as I'd love to combine a trip to China with a snowboarding holiday one day.Anyone with any experience of China's ski resorts?

December 20, 2009 at 9:00 AMhmm, what gives ? I just downloaded the QQ platform and then tried to sign up for an account for the very first time. This process requires you to enter an email address. When I did this it won't accept it as it says "this ID has been registered".The screen prior said you could sign up using an existing email address. Can one creat a QQ email adress rather than use an existing email address then? Any ideas?
I found this:
In the English version of the QQ client, you can't bind an email address from QQ (@qq.com.) Sorry!
..but I wasn't initially trying that.It won't accept my usual email address. It also won't accept not entering/binding an email address.
