Wo 知道“开心”是happy和“果”是fruit or result,so "happy result" seems the best fit given the context,but together "开心果“是pistachio nuts !?! 再，有什么意思？

Nope,eggnog always seemed an English tradition to me and subsequently passed down under [where it is commonplace at Christmastime] and elsewhere.I was always under the impression that brandy was the traditional alcohol added but I am aware that other alcoholic beverages are added such as whiskey and rum.There is a similar beverage in Latin America I believe but I'm not sure if it shares the same origin or not.

Speaking of eggnog,you can buy cartons of egg nog in the 超市 without the whiskey/brandy added and it's still called eggnog:

我觉得约翰五角星放到树顶上的时候得看那么漂亮因为他的美甲；也许他应该站树的旁边为了装的。

December 20, 2009 at 10:54 AMOk,I can report that it's working fine now.I just couldn't use my gmail account for some reason.It kept reckoning that account was already registered [ I can't see how that could be the case though...this was my first attempt and it wouldn't accept my usual password if somehow it was linked to CPod],so I had to use a different email address.The CPod lesson link worked fine and played fine [it seems to have selected both the latest lesson..in this case being news and features,and a couple of random newbie lessons from the archive].I can also happily report that it's all working fine so far in windows 7.Also,once the QQ account was created,it then allowed you to create a QQ email account,which is also working fine.

Actually it cracked me up hearing your understated translation because it made me suspect that with your recent 美甲 【beautiful nails] that if you'd sung the jingle bells translation to boot and it also came across girly then you'd never live it down.I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok...hehe. ;)
