February 28, 2010 at 2:29 AMSo is CNY a good time to visit Shanghai then with less crowds to battle,or are a lot of places shut? Presumably there are still plenty of celebrations in Shanghai itself.I also presume what applies to Shanghai in this instance pretty much applies to Beijing?

February 28, 2010 at 2:09 AMI've never heard that song before but I like it;thanks mate.Does anyone else find that video's from youku [and also tudou] download extremely slowly [despite broadband and compared to other stuff like youtube which is very fast]?
This reminds me of the classic Split Enz song "I see red":

我宝宝走路上的时候,我看红我看红我看红。【或者。。我眼红我眼红我眼红】

February 28, 2010 at 1:58 AMyeah,I did briefly think of opera, but it's just that most music that people listen to [at least I think] are songs around the 4minute mark [give or take...except the odd exception like Stevie Wrights Evie or Dire Straights Telegraph Road] ...I'm guessing that's whats on the menu at ktv. But I've gotta bear in mind how long the words been around and what Chinese were thinking at the time and as there is a strong tradition of opera in China I suspect you have hit the nail on the head yet again.

11,900,000 只狗

February 27, 2010 at 12:25 AM。oops ,looks like I'm wrong as google has:
2 for “条短腿猎犬”
and 361 for “只短腿猎犬”
..as a dachshund is a small dog,I think it's not so related to shape on reflection, but size;definitely rings a bell.只 being for smaller dogs.

February 27, 2010 at 12:20 AMI thought it depended on the breed of dog.I reckon 条 would be the measure word for a sausage dog.

February 28, 2010 at 2:43 AMguolifang,
Thanks heaps for sharing.Nothing beats a good anecdote.I'm impressed you could fill out the form in Hanzi. Jiayou :)
ps.I'd love to know what difference this made to her treatment.Perhaps she was given a 杀虫 【insecticide]..I've heard of butterflies in the tummy but not bees, hehe,而且,幸运她没有在熊领土
或者也许医生说“真方便”
