March 25, 2010 at 12:45 AMyeah,Japan is famous for robots in general and I'd definitely be interested in seeing some examples, especially any that can do the housework like Rosie from the Jetsons, hehe
That Gundam does look impressive alright. It would definitely command a lot of attention.
ps changye, you should have been an Ambassador for Japan at the Expo...just think how many Poddies would want to come meet you :)

March 24, 2010 at 4:11 AMI thought you were going to be interested because it's usually such a closed shop.Journalists kept out etc.Let's see what they're hiding, hehe.

March 24, 2010 at 2:34 AMInteresting. In English if someone says "are you serious?" they are often seriously questioning/doubting what someone else has stated. But I guess if you seldom go to the club, you are probably using the question more literally....this is new information to you that you don't have much to compare with, perhaps a little surprising and you're just making sure the person isn't joking.

March 23, 2010 at 11:53 AMhehe,well I dunno about writing a romantic version mate,but yeah I'm a romantic I s'pose and I nearly choked on:
"Love is like indigestion - it will pass"
..yeah I definitely believe love can rise above such mercenary considerations and endure. I can understand a parents concern though.Obviously you don't wanna see your kids endure hardship, but my paramount concern as a parent would be how in love they are,how dependable and committed the guy is to my daughters happiness, and I think if you've raised your kids right then one should have faith in the kids judgement...but who knows...I haven't travelled down that road yet and am in no hurry for it :)

March 23, 2010 at 11:18 AM"火腿是枪,香烟是子弹"有什么意思?。。我看图像...ie I can see a leg of ham and a cigarette looking like a gun and bullet, but what's the meaning behind this? Would I be right in guessing that it means that the ham softens shushuayi up and the cigarettes are the winning blow that gets them completely on side....or closer that it's a winning combination of gifts that they can't resist.

March 25, 2010 at 12:50 AMThe Expo here in Brisbane in 1988 was one of the highlights of my life.An awesome fun time was had by all. Afterwards the city went through post Expo blues. I would dearly love to come to the Shanghai Expo...I think 22 years is long enough to wait, but I'm not too optimistic I'll pull it off. For the record, there were so many amazing and interesting pavillions from the different countries here, but the place to be and to meet people was the German Festhaus. One continuous party there. We'd never seen so much fun here. :)
