...seemingly for the lack of exclamation marks !!! 真难，呵呵

thanks connie...so to clarify ..it is the speaker announcing that they are the first person in their group to leave the game? Is it usual to announce that you're the first to go?...in the west I think that would be a slightly strange thing to announce...to actually specify you are the first leaving [for starters it would be obvious ]

I have a little trouble with the translation of this expansion sentence:

快点儿，马上就要超过前面那辆车了。

which is translated as:

(Hurry up. We're about to pass that car up ahead.)

"about to pass" ...is what confuses me.I would have thought the interpretation was "we must pass",and thus the urging to 快点儿 [if already about to pass,it doesn't seem so necessary to urge someone to speed up].Thoughts?

btw this example I think answers my above question about Jenny's example above....about 2 runners in a race ..not wanting to let the other pass them...对吧？

Also can't eat pork.Here's an explanation from wikipedia:

It was funny hearing Jenny explain the 蟹粉【crab filling or crab meat] is actually a mixture of crab meat and crab roe as it also sounded like crab meat and crab 肉。。。crab meat is a mixture of crab meat and crab meat.

"surprise,have some pork"..haha,John can't help but be funny.

If hairy crab season is Oct-Jan,does that mean that 蟹粉小笼 are completely not available outside that period,or if available would it be considered dicey?

I was a little unclear about Jenny's example regarding 不许超过 [must not exceed]：

两个人一起跑步，比赛跑步 [although I wasn't certain she was saying 跑步 as the bu sounded a little like bo,but I was expecting paobu]

I think my confusion may have stemmed from the fact that John's example just prior to that was about not exceeding a speed limit when driving,and I found it hard to see why you'd wanna limit a speed in a running race [unless it be an olympic walk...but then it's not about limiting speed but rather about making sure the technique keeps it technically still walking].So I'm wondering if Jenny's example really means that when two people are in running race,each must try and ensure the other doesn't overtake them.I'm I on the right track now?

hehe,I just loved John's crack about what happens in Vegas may not stay in Vegas if you're with a Chinese friend.This was an awesome lesson for so many reasons.Thanks guys :)
