Thanks interesting that you say that parents speak proudly of how brilliant their children are because it goes contrary to what I've heard on this site before [long time ago]. I heard this humility extended to the way parents spoke about their kids. I have also known this to be the case in some people I have known. I guess from what you are saying it shows that what I was told is not universal at all. I guess it comes down to individual variation then.
