“云鬼"有什么意思？ 【what does “云鬼" mean ?]

if it were chinese would it be "cloud ghost" ?

In Japanese 云 is apparently not in the top 2500 kanji ,but as it also can in Chinese seems to mean "say"

and 鬼..also as in Chinese..ghost or devil. So "say ghost" or "say devil" . Does this mean the supporters are encouraging their team to "ghost" the opposition? :

no worries at all there mate. the bit that did concern me is why you'd say that about our Jenny [the reason I say "our" is because once you've listened to as many of her podcasts and been here as long as I have it starts to feel like a big happy family here,hehe ]...so I actually wish it was to her and not me you were apologising to [but of course that's up to you]. I have certainly never detected anything pretentious there. I guess as you say you are new it is possible you are not familiar with the classic Chinese Qipao which she appears to be wearing in her avatar. If you are not familiar with this traditional garb then here's a great discussion of it in this DA lesson:

..a beautiful garment these days often worn at functions such as weddings and the like. We all get dressed up for such functions ,right? Nothing pretentious about that. And it's so nice to see a native Chinese in such a beautiful traditional garment. As you are new you would also have missed that Jenny's previous avatar was in much more casual attire. It's great to get these different views of our teachers who are generous enough to share them.

Anyhow mate, thankyou for guanqie...you've taught me something there so I owe you one . :)

how do you know Catherine being working tirelessly

...I guess I don't exactly know [as I'm not there as you rightly point out] but it's certainly a strong impression on the user end. She has spent a lot of time on the site answering questions [which sometimes seems to include after hours],discussing the issues in an open, patient and professional manner,and liaising with the rest of the team,fitting this in amongst her many other duties [recording podcasts etc]. Certainly a lot more progress has commenced over the last week or so since she set up the tech probs group and it was to that I was referring.

are you given free subscription to be an every day bloger for CP

...well I once won 2 free weeks for one of the posts I started [they were doing this every couple of weeks or so for a while there for posts they thought were interesting or something along those lines],but otherwise no, I'm just a regular paying customer on yearly subscription.

Thanks, I just tried cctv5 online. The first site I got looked very familiar..I think I've been down this road before and hit the same problem. It came up with a big warning about the site wanting to install something on my computer and about it being a threat. I then got an offer of watching free as long as I spent 5 minutes doing a free survey [which kicked off wanting to know if I wanted free Huggies for a year...the nappies I take it] Maybe I should look for another source.
