March 28, 2011 at 7:14 AMactually the bit I'm listening to now is particularly slow [but I think it probably was fast in parts, but I'm used to David being very fast in Advanced/Media], and no it's not the vocab [yeah, I guess the more advanced lessons generally have more advanced vocab than this, though as I can't make out some of it here, I can't comment too authoritatively]. I'm finding it's purely a combination of accent, low male voice. and just how clear I can hear it that is challenging. But good to have some real life off the streets stuff to practice listening to/ comprehending. hehe, I'm now thinking pretzells 20% is quite an achievement. :)

March 28, 2011 at 6:27 AMbtw, I was always under the impression that it was the law here in Australia that you had to have ID etc when purchasing a mobile phone. And it seemed to be for security reasons...terrorism. I'm surprised that it's not the case in China. I thought it was likely much more widespread than this.

March 28, 2011 at 3:04 AMMaybe it's just me then, but I found this harder than Media. To me UI is way easier in comparison.

March 27, 2011 at 1:24 PMwell I've only got 1 这是 and I'm nearly half way through transcribing. I do have about 12 这's, most of which seem to be 这个's, many I think are 这个是's which I wouldn't have thought an overly high number for such common characters. But I may have it wrong....both missing and 听错ing.

March 27, 2011 at 11:48 AMwhat's got me worried is that I've now transcribed 4 and a half minutes of this, and I only have 2 就's and no 就是's. I hope they're yet to come or I'm missing a lot of such a simple word, but that's very possible, hehe

lol. Yeah, I'd be curious about that too.
