...dare I ask where the term comes from?

"I have been sitting here shshshshing and ssssssssing"
..reminds me of one of those practical jokes.
"I can say s with a very reaxed jaw"
..well it depends on what you mean by a reaxed jaw, or even a relaxed jaw, but try saying them with your mouth wide open then, hehe

January 21, 2012 at 4:07 AMhaha, I love your attempt to tie in the relaxed lifestyle, but:
"the jaw is ...relaxed with 's'. "
...I'm no linguist, but I'm not convinced of this. It's a fricative after all [sibilant to be more precise] which requires creating a narrow channel for the air...try and say an s with a very relaxed jaw.

February 13, 2012 at 5:06 PMGood question znayka, and I think you've answered your own question. The ma indicates a yes/no question, so shenme in this case has to be "any"...so I'd translate it as "have any good movies come out recently?". Of course, it would be strange for someone to reply yes and leave it at that. So, if yes, the questioner would naturally be looking for the answerer to elaborate and say which one/s he/she recommends.
