(According to author Lin Yutang, men's ultimate ideal is to hire a Chinese chef, get a Japanese wife, and a French lover.)

January 16, 2012 at 8:57 AMThis line from the dialogue tab:
was translated as:
If we hadn't happened on this, I would've looked for it for ages!
..but I interpreted it as:
that's really dumb luck. I searched for so long and didn't find it. I didn't expect that I'd come across it here today.
Can someone please explain to me what indicates that this 我找了好久都没找到 was referring to the future as per the translation and not the past as I would have had it...or are both correct possible interpretations?

January 16, 2012 at 8:52 AMbenbenbenben,
I've just been studying this lesson:

on Japanese anime, and further to our discussion here, Dragonball was mentioned there. I love when that happens. You were right of course in that Dragonball is a Japanese version of Journey to the west, but it was an anime series and the series I referred to wasn't. Thanks for pointing it out though mate. Interesting. I wouldn't mind checking it out now if I get the chance.

January 16, 2012 at 8:46 AM哈哈, 这个:
...is an impressive rant from a true 粉丝...quite apt that it's that long..a sign of his enthusiasm as well as a good description. Got me wondering what the longest lines in a Cpod dialogue [note...not monologue] are.
