4：32 长。。。as in zhǎng "to develop"...and before or after 这样？hang on, just had another listen..clearly it is before as in 长这样。。。don't know why I thought it was zheyang...I must have thought it was one of those squished ones. Interesting, not sure if I've quite seen it used in a context like this to mean "looks like this" ...of course I've heard it used for 长得很漂亮....looks very pretty,, but I still had in my mind the notion of someone growing up from childhood to become a beautiful young lady. Interesting it it can be used for a mahjong tile. I know one bamboo is different from the others and whether Jenny was saying that as you go up through the numbers [well just from 2, hehe] they develop into the regular bamboo appearance. I guess she kinda means that?...that as you go from 1 bamboo to the rest it "becomes...takes on the appearance" of the regular bamboo tiles....yeah, it makes sense to me. Would you agree this is the sense here?

ok, it's just come through now, and at the same time, yesterdays lesson has only just come through....36 hours after release, so not sure what held it up in itunes.

Can't get this lesson to feed into itunes. It was at the top of my list on my home page and repeated tries at refreshing itunes made no difference. Also removing and then bookmarking also made no difference.

Ok, to the best of my ability at 13:32 I can make out 有jene你 which sounds like a very compressed and fast 有可能你...hope I can get this fast stuff someday, hehe. I'd love to know how clearly or otherwise other non-native poddies can hear it.

13:58...ok, clearly got the missing 来 now，thanks...it is light but clearly there. I'm trying to imagine the other two in there. Can sorta do it with the 的. It's a real struggle with the 给。 This is showing me that I'm miles away from a good Chinese hearing ability as even with repeated listens I can't really make it out and in real life you can't press a repeat button. I guess I'll have to resign myself to extrapolate, get the meanings with missing bits which is kinda disappointing. Once again I'd love to know how clear these bits are to other poddies.

Thanks heaps again Jiaojie. I've finally had the chance to go through them all and I can hear most of them clearly now [makes one wonder how I missed some in the first place]. But there were still some I couldn't quite make out.

at 2:57 那样 makes sense but I thought Jenny spoke with a Southern accent...that na sounds more like a northern nei

..but anyhow, got that one now. But there were some others I'd like to ask about, and my question is this. Were these below ones what Jenny actually said verbatim, or were they what you thought she was trying to say?:

。。if that is verbatim, is it squished together or something?

13:58 Jenny： 是你【的】手【给】你带【来】的运气...each bit in brackets was definitely enunciated?

14:10 所以我就觉得就是这种娱乐【让很】有一点赌博。。。。is there definitely not something like 让很 after 娱乐?

I hope you don't mind my asking again. I've just listened several times and struggled to make those bits out and it's doing my head in, hehe, so if you could just confirm I'd much appreciate it. Cheers :)
