April 1, 2012 at 8:32 PM11:05 you could be right, but it sounds clearly like 很 and not 跟 to me. Thanks heaps again for all your suggestions mate :)

April 1, 2012 at 8:25 PM10:29 hmm, not sure. I can't make it as that, but I like the suggestion in that it opens up other things to consider when listening to these things and an ah at the end of the line is quite common and can get stuck tightly in there.

April 1, 2012 at 8:16 PM9:37 觉得 would certainly make sense and it fits in with what I can make out...its the 2nd syllable that's particularly light fast and hard to catch..so I think you're probably right here again Zhen.

April 1, 2012 at 8:09 PM7:27 thanks to you and zhen for confirming
9:12 agree ..I missed the 了

April 1, 2012 at 8:01 PM6:40 agree it's not 是 but I can't hear 说 either. It's sounding more like "re" or "ri" to me but I can't make sense of that. I wondered for a tic whether it could be "er" as in just a vocalisation...but it looks more deliberate than that.

April 1, 2012 at 7:43 PMNo worries. Just thought I'd let you guys know. The funny thing was each time I'd refresh in itunes under the cpod podcast feed tab you could see it circling [thinking] looking for knew podcasts, but then would come up with zippo.

April 1, 2012 at 7:32 PM5:24 yeah, John was speaking and yeah, it was covered up. Catching that wasn't important anyhow as the meaning was clear
5:35 长...yeah, well it sounds like that and is the same sort of usage as above...but as you pointed out above it seems to be just going with "looks like this" without any suggestion of development or progression or growing up. The closest would be after manufacture [or development through history] this has been what it has come to look like...the end result is it looks like this.

April 1, 2012 at 8:51 PM11:05 agree it sounds more like 是 than 像 and thanks for confirming 嘛. I guess Jenny's just saying it's very white [and not much else to the tile]. I think 是 also makes more sense than 像
13:05 exactly my dilemna...it sounded more like na to me, but I would normally expect a ne coming at the end of that first part of the statement. But listening again, I'm wondering if the na starts off the second bit of the statement...or at least it's a ...." part a, na, part b" type structure. I'm now also wondering if that 将 is actually 加
13:14 yeah, it probably is 就 because that's what I'd expect there but it sounded a bit more like ju to me [? 据 or 举?] but probably because quick just a bit hard to capture the i sound.
