April 23, 2012 at 6:31 AMThanks David. Vimeo works way better for me. It downloaded it in no time at all. As usual, tudou on the other hand is super slow for me.

April 23, 2012 at 4:30 AMBeen hanging out for/looking out for this 2nd video lesson for a bit...thought it must be anytime now. Yay, good job guys. Liked several things about it. Firstly, I note that you listened to so much of the feedback from last time, including kindly including the full lesson in audio. xiexie. Also good to see it being used at a different level [newbie this time], good to see you venturing out of the studio for the dialogue. Loved the visual intro. The audio syncing was also much better, though, without wanting to sound picky, I thought there were still a couple of spots near the start of the video podcast that felt slightly out of sync..but overall much improved.
Interestingly, I also noticed that this video download was about 1/8 of the size of the first one. I guess some of it would be accounted by the shorter length, but I'm curious as to why it was so much smaller. I guess there was more compression/ not as high quality video..but it wasn't significant and download was much faster...though I didn't mind either way personally.
Finally, the best thing was seeing new stuff tried. Jiayou !

April 19, 2012 at 10:13 PMgood question shanny. I'd usually use either 而是 or 反而 for that type of rather, but I'd be used to using them in the middle of a sentence. I'm not sure about kicking off a sentence with rather. I hope you get a better answer mate :)

Ça veut dire 【意思是】:
你很有道理【你说得对】, 而我耍弄不少中文法文词典还有英文法文词典。 这需要时间但很有趣

"Which shirt do you like?" is not a yes/no question so you don't add ma to such a question. What you were trying to write was a question by itself, but a couple of minor mistakes. You use 哪 for which [the question word] and not 那. Also you have two measure words in your example [either of which could have been used] and you should only use one [件 is the more accurate one]. So I think you wanted:
你喜欢哪件衬衫?
If, instead you wanted to ask, "do you like that shirt?" you could have used both 那 and ma:
你喜欢那件衬衫吗?
