KennyK It's been very popular the past couple of years. Bookstores are filled with them during Christmastime for gift-giving. It's a regular feature in papers now like crossword puzzles have been historically. artkho thank you very much for that original clip! you are absolutely right: the sweet and innocent tone of that scene is completely lost and distorted in the translated audio clip!

On a lighter note, ZiHeng's acting was hilarious at the end. "qing1diar3...qing1qing1qing1diar3!!!" (take...take...take it easy!!!) LOL! I agree, David is fantastic!

Hey, Jenny and John talked about discoteque as bengdi 蹦迪 (Drug Dealer lesson)! Looks like the same beng4 as 蹦蹦床 bengbengchuang in this movie! Cool!

It is quite remarkable that ChinesePod continues to bring culturally relevant material to the community of learners. Please bear with me as I share my heart a little: Wo3 ting1dao4 zhe4ge buo1ke4 yi3hou4 wo3de xin1 fei1chang2 SAD yin1wei4 wo3 zai4 yi1yuen4 mei3tien1 kan4dao4 du2pin3de DESTRUCTIVE POWER. Yo3 shi2hou4 nien2qin1ren2 bu4dong3 shi4. Xi1du2pin3 de RESULT tai4kon2bu4le. Ying1wei4 wo3shi4 ER yi1shen1, wo3 zao1gu4 le hen3duo1 hen3duo1 xi1du2pin3de bing4ren2. After hearing this podcast, I feel very SAD because I see every day in the ER the destructive power of illegal drugs. Young people are foolish sometimes. The result of using drugs is terrifying/horrible. Because I am an ER doc, I have taken care of many, many drug users It's very sad and tragic.

Jenny or Ken In "It's Over" (intermediate) John and Jenny explain yi2ming2 13:30 which is to emigrate/immigrate. Could you explain the difference between yi2ming2 and ban1jia1? I think ban1jia1 has a broader meaning, due4ma?
