Aiya, 丽丽 is icy cold...brrrr! Aww, poor Zhang Liang : ( He needs to get over her, I guess. This is very sad. I don't like hearing them be so upset at each other. But, it's all for the cause of language acquisition! Henning is right. This lesson isn't really an alternate ending; it fits right in between "Uncomfortable Encounter" and "It's Over." So, that means, we STILL need to know what happened to these two after Lili gets engaged to someone else and moves to Australia! We want MORE!

lester "...好（hao3) is being used more and more in place of very. ... it was common in Taiwan ..." That's really interesting because I think that's totally true. I use (hao3) much more than 很(hěn) rich "So 不容易 and 好容易 are the same" Are you certain? This makes no sense whatsoever. 好容易 Hao3rong2yi4 means really easy or very easy; it's equivalent to hen3rong2yi4. 不容易Bu4rong2yi4 means not easy. Perhaps Amber can clarify. The dog avatars are really cute, hao3ke3ai4ah!!

Changye You're quite welcome! I've always enjoyed reading your posts, and feel in no way is your English "poor;" it's excellent! These subtle nuanced meanings are difficult to know without living where English is the dominant language. You're second iteration of those 4 similarly worded sentences is right on!
