If the lesson was published prior to September 1, 2008 it would not be in breach. However, for those lessons published after that date, it would be breach of copyright.

The speaker in the Chinese recordings in the expansion sentence comes from 山东 (Shāndōng) province. It's northeast China.

麦片 (màipiàn) can refer to both 'cereal' and 'oatmeal' here. I think because it's not that common of an item here, this general term is used for both.

Yes, 师傅 (Shīfu) is often used to address cab drivers.

1) In the Kung Fu movies, they are using: 师父 (shīfu)
2) 不能在草地上走。Bùnéng zài cǎodì shang zǒu.
You could also use “可以 (kěyǐ)” here, its interchangeable.
Very often you will find 可以 (kěyǐ) and 能 (néng) are interchangeable. They both express permissiveness:
这里能不能吸烟?Zhèlǐ néngbù néng xīyān?
这里可不可以吸烟?Zhèlǐ kěbùkěyǐ xīyān?
