I like that, now if only I could pronounce it correctly. I cant think of an english expression that captures all that either.

Changye - Miantiao is right. It could be said this way and I have heard it, but in general I think you are correct in thinking it is similar that of "一双腿" in Chinese.

I dont think I have ever heard "a pair of legs" used in conversation although it doesnt sound bad. We usually just say somehting like - she certainly has beautiful legs. On the internet you would just google "legs". Old riddles used to start out "what has two legs, a tail, and ....." What has a pair of legs just wouldnt fly so I gues "two legs" wins. There are 4 legged mamals and two legged mamals so some have two legs and some have 4 legs but I have never heard it said that some have a pair of legs. I could imagine someone saying nice pair of legs but it is unusual I think. Misterjess is a leg man, he may know. :-)

Matt,

No worries mate, I read the policy last week while traveling (see "grammar help"post). I do enjoy those little jaunts into the future but they are quite expensive, and the jet lag is a real killer. Those QW pdf's are great too btw. :-)
