August 10, 2012 at 10:53 AMJust a minor correction in you interpretation of the 7 minutes of terror. It refers to the time it takes to enter the atmosphere of Mars and land, going through all the steps, parachute, firing of rockets, deployment of sky crane and its release, and touch down. This all takes only 7 minutes, and even though the guys on earth are hearing the report out of this sequence of events minutes late, its real time to them. They are in suspense for 7 min waiting to learn if everything worked ok. The time it takes for a radio signal to travel between Earth and Mars is between 4.3 minutes and 21 minutes, depending on the actual distance between the two planets, which varies due to orbits of both. The actual time delay on landing day was 14 min one way. If anybody cares.

Yet another British female author getting rich off a book (3 books actually). Grambers why dont you write a book. You can turn a phrase, I wll offer up the colorful Plot. We'll be rich. And Baba, dont ask, google it. btw I think there is something wrong with your avatar. I can only see some guys face, up really close.
