April 14, 2007 at 7:45 AMRich, Thanks for pointing that out. Both upper- and lower-case filename extensions should work fine for your avatar now.

April 14, 2007 at 4:00 AMBazza, We have users in practically every time zone, so we can't really fairly cater to individual times zones. The reason we publish at 9 am Shanghai time is that if there are any unforeseen issues with a new lesson we can fix it right away (and take all day if necessary).

April 14, 2007 at 12:00 AMThe system was not supposed to publish it yet. Small bug. We'll get it fixed very soon. In the meantime... enjoy!

April 13, 2007 at 12:56 PMPaul, Yes, you correctly guessed that tone of voice can be used to turn 你确定 (nǐ quèdìng) into a question. (Warning: using tone of voice in Chinese without messing up the tones of the individual words can be really tricky for us learners!) 你确定吗 (nǐ quèdìng ma) is also correct.

April 13, 2007 at 12:53 PMHenning, You surmised correctly about the relationship between errors and V3's impending launch. We apologize for the temporary chaos. It's only going to get much better...

April 13, 2007 at 12:52 PMPaul, If there has been any decrease in quality recently, it's because we've been doing an ENORMOUS amount of work for V3 on top of producing a new lesson every day. Now that V3 is out, there are tons of exciting possibilities opening up for us. The lessons will only get better and better.

April 15, 2007 at 4:00 AMHenning, We're working on the media links. Media lessons do not follow the standard format (for example, no dialogue), so it doesn't jive with the system. We'll get it all straightened out within a few days.
