July 3, 2010 at 2:09 PMWow, I felt like Indian Jones when I stumbled across this lesson. An archaeological artifact of great historical significance: John's very first lesson!

December 5, 2009 at 9:15 AMIt's been a long time since I've done a Qing Wen. The Dialogue tab is really helpful!

November 16, 2009 at 8:46 AMHooray for the end of new Newbies! I was thinking a few weeks ago about how top-heavy that part of the website had become. Just how long can a person stay there anyway? I did about 100 before moving on to Elementary.
I'm an Upper Intermediate learner with 836 lessons under my belt, and these changes will make my goal a little easier: Click the "Studied" button for everything on the website within the next 2 years. As of today, 799 lessons to go!

October 19, 2009 at 8:25 AMWhat about cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches? Had them all the time growing up in the U.S.
But I do agree that as a staple sandwich ingredient, it is rather odd. Smearing a BLT with peanut butter instead of mayo is something else I've seen that I'd rather not try.

October 17, 2009 at 1:48 AMI've noticed that a lot of lessons under the "Expansion" tab have each sentence listed twice. This is one of those lessons.

September 10, 2009 at 11:16 AMExpansion sentence audio is working for me, but the exercises aren't loading correctly. Wow, it's been a while since anyone commented on this lesson!

July 14, 2009 at 11:37 PM[shudder] Language exchange 是我最可怕的单词!在我的记忆中,这个词的意思就是 English practice。Ugh! 今年我所有的同学们都拒绝了language exchanges。我们都觉得自学比language exchange有用的。
Sorry if I seem a little cynical...

January 8, 2011 at 9:49 AM在美国,这样的事情都由警察负责。
从一个美国人的角度来看,课文里的情况有点儿难理解。在美国我们有一句话:The law is king。律法就是国王。警察没有权利让非法的行为继续,同情不同情没关系。
但我知道美国和中国的情况非常不一样;这里农民工的问题是很严重的。
