May 12, 2011 at 11:42 PMI just checked Apple's Chinese website. It's inconceivable to me, but my friend was right: They call BOTH 内存. Here are the tech specs on the top model MacBook Air:
* 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 处理器
* 2GB 内存
* 256GB 闪存
* NVIDIA GeForce 320M 显卡
It's got 2GB of 内存, and 256GB of 内存. Crazy.
But there is another place on the website (referring to a cheaper model) that says:
内存: 主板安装 2GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM
存储设备: 64GB 闪存
I still think it's confusing though.

May 11, 2011 at 8:09 AMI was just discussing this question with a Singaporean friend a week ago. He's not too computer savvy, so I don't think he fully understood my question. In the end, he said it should be called 内存, but that just leads to another problem: How do you distinguish between 2GB 内存 for short-term operating use and 200GB 内存 for long-term storage?
