January 7, 2021 at 1:29 AMHello, the sentence 上次是我买茶的 emphasizes that "I" was the one that bought tea last time. The structure 是...的 is used when you want to highlight a particular piece of information in the sentence. You can also choose not to use the pattern, but it will turn into a sentence with a totally different meaning. For example, you can say 上次我买茶的时候，天气很热。"Last time when I bought tea, the weather was really hot". Hope this helps!
