Thank you for the comment! I'm glad it's helpful. Try focusing on the characters and figure out their pinyin when you first watch the lesson as a practice!

Good job! Both sentences sound really natural, but I think if you change the 要 into 会 in 对不起我的中文不好但是我要尽力, it would sound better!

Good question! 了 after a verb indicated a completed action, and when it's at the end of a sentence, it indicates a change in situation. In this case, 你付了学费了吗? 你付学费了吗? and 你付了学费吗? are all grammatically correct!

没错,丢人就是丢脸的意思!如果你想说We lost someone,你可以说,我们弄丢了人。两个说法很类似,难怪你会搞错!

This is a very good question! You are right, when 才 is used in this sentence structure (Subj. + Time Word + 才 + Verb). it expresses lateness. However, in the sample sentence you mentioned, it fits into another structure: 才 ( + Verb) + Measure Word + Noun. And this format is used to express a small quantity. As another example, 我买了这么多东西,花了五百块。 "I bought so many things and I only spent 500 bucks." Does this make more sense?

关于 and 对于 both mean "regarding", while 对于 points to an object being specifically referred to, and 关于 names a topic. For example, 对于那个人我并不了解。"As for that person, I just don't know him very well at all." 关于你辞职的申请,公司还在考虑。 "With regards to your application for resignation, the company is still considering it."

Hi Peter, I believe what Grace and Jenny was referring to was the "xiao1ye4" culture in general. As far as I know, at least in Europe, restaurants close rather early and there are not many places where you can have a late night meal (other than bars). However, in Asia, many restaurants open till quite late to cater to this "late night snack" culture.
