I'm posting this as a reply since I can apparently not write new posts:

This post was originally very long and witty. When I posted it, though, despite getting a message that it was posted successfully, it did not appear in the community. This was the fourth time this happened. The first and third time are threads that have simply not been reposted, since I didn't feel like rewriting them. The second time I had the wherewithal to copy my post before I hit the submit button, so that one got through. This is the only one I felt like rewriting.

I run Safari on a MacBook with Snow Leopard.

Unfortunately, even after rewriting it, I still couldn't post it (but remembered to copy it). So now I chuck it here.

Being unable to report a technical problem on the site due to a technical problem on the site reminds me of Red Dwarf:

Lister: Is there any damage?

HollyI dunno the damage report machine has been damaged.

Nope, no editing going on.

Do you edit your posts? If I edit them, I often inadvertently hit 'Save to Draft' instead of 'Publish'. If you do that, the post cannot be seen'.

I find it somewhat annoying that 'Save to Draft' shows before 'Publish', as it seems natural to select the first button. In fact, I'm not sure of the usefulness of 'Save to Draft', and even if it has use, I don't understand why that option only shows when editing, and not when making the original post.

But to answer your question, no, other than this, I don't have a problem with disappearing posts.

And now it happened again. The title of the post was exactly this: "把十元的票子破开". It was filed in the "I have a question" group. I'll try to post it again, so if it does show up, that would be my second try.

Nobody else has this problem, then?

Sorry, I disappeared from the forums for a few days. Anyway, it happened again, just now. The title of the post was "So, uh, I have a blog now", I think.

Hi simonpettersson, is it possible to tell us the exact title of the post that is missing? I will ask our tech team to check if the missing posts are in our database.

This problem appeared again a few minutes ago. Really quite annoying.

I just made a test post and there were no problems. I'll post here again if the problem reappears.

Yes, I've been unable to make new threads. I make the post and I get a message it's been posted successfully, but the post doesn't appear. It doesn't seem to be wholly consistent, though, as I've managed to post one new thread during this time.

Perhaps this is related. I made two replies on the separable verbs Qing Wen lesson that disappeared. They were there for a while. One was a 'bump' reply, and the other I thanked Connie for her help. I kind of thought maybe you guys deleted the 'bump' post as it was redundant, but I couldn't understand why the one thanking Connie would disappear.

Hi Simon, are you saying you are unable to make a new post? I've just tested your account and it seems to be working properly. Can you tell me if this a constant problem? Or does it only happens from time to time?
