Haha, I want to know which member of the royal family it was. It did say that it was a 'gay scandal' ...intriguing! I'd like to be a princess, if you know any visiting princes coming to London, send me their contact info and I can show them around.

(but the news report about the blackmailer is true, and the royal family member he blackmailed is confidential unfortunately)

There was recently a man arrested for blackmailing the royal family here, claiming he had a video with a royal family member caught in some sex act.... could it involve our Colleen? Naa..... :P (Is this how rumors get started?)

i think everyone should respect Colleen's privacy. Given the rumors that she's now dating Prince William, it's understandable that she wants to maintain a low profile in order to avoid the paparazzi and stay out of the tabloids.

Yes, I am a lurker by nature, I think (no offence, this will raise some qualms) that it's more efficient for me to just read over stuff than participate. Me personally, Im sure you all are more efficient doing whatever you do:)

Frank: 'write to Frank' is at the top of my to do list, and the top of my 'i feel guilty about not keeping in touch with anyone outside of london' list. The guilt will probably get to me later today:)

Cool John... yeah, we really do need some Outtakes that were complete flops or you guys said some things that weren't all that appropriate for a Chinese lesson (although I find some of the things you guys teach things I never thought I'd hear learning Chinese!!!), put in some Entertainment ("DVD extras") section on Cpod.

Rich, basically, there are extra long versions of every podcast wth outtakes in them, and then our audio editors just cut out all the bad stuff. Maybe we should save some of the outtakes...

Yeah I tend to even disgust myself sometimes but annoying people is always an efficient way of getting their attention and I thought it might help in this case.

In response to the "Behind the Podcast"... I was always wondering if there are every bloopers when recording the podcasts (especially those that Jenny makes).... are there every retakes of the podcast? If you do a retake, do you do the whole thing, or do you splice them together?

Anyway, would be funny if there were some outtakes/bloopers/错误 whatever to download.

But yeah, keep this on top or Colleen won't see it! (She was notified on Facebook that this threat exists)

Not only human. My parrot initiates this game frequently. She also insists on playing peek-a-boo every time I get home, and does her laughing dance when she manages to dodge my sight. All of this in spite of her tail being exposed whenever she hides; I'm supposed to pretend I don't see it. So these hiding games must be universal among sentient beings.

Actually, that makes me wonder: is hide-and-seek as prevalent among children in China as it is in the west? I suspect the game is a universal human phenomenon. Perhaps you all could do a lesson on children's games.

Have you tried posting the Chinese version of the phrase, "olly olly oxen free!".

I asked Jenny to start a gossip show on Chinesepod after seeing the advanced lessons on 八卦。Call it something like "Behind the Chinesepod Podcast" and then take us behind the scenes to find out what goes on over there. Do a segment called "他们现在在哪儿?" and start with Colleen and Aric.
