October 10, 2007 at 07:23 PM posted in General DiscussionI just thought this was crazy interesting. The character with the most strokes is supposed to be "biang2," a type of noodle. I don't think you can really type it out using most wordprocessing systems, but here is a nice picture of it:

I think we should all try writing it once for fun! I count 57 strokes, but it depends how your render the 廴 ["yin3" (or is it "chuo4"?)] radical. I think it is technically 3 strokes, right?

Apparently it is, just not a very common one! We had talked about this character on the forums before:

Wait! The "four dragon" "zhe2" character has more strokes! I count 68 (17 for each "long2").
Biang2 is still cooler.

October 12, 2007 at 10:52 AMWe should have a competition: Who can write this character and whose character does look best... I just tried. It was totally out of skilter. Fun!
