oh. Amber lives in Shanghai. I always thought she's in some other country and works with Cpod through the internet. hahaha
Jenny looks so funny in the picture, but I can't put my finger on why.

Bazza,
The correct thing to say is: "Amber, you always look really hot!"
Then the next correct thing to say is: "All of the Cpod Ladies always look really hot!"

Although all the ladies are lovely, Amber you do stand out amongst the gals. How tall are you? You appear a head taller than Joy.

Western toilets in the West of China, however, would be shocking news.

A minor correction: "ta1 men2 dou" 的 "dou" shi4 di4 yi1 shen1 ( the 'dou' in "ta men dou" is first tone : )

That "nü" I noticed right away and thought it really funny. So what are they replacing the trough toilets with? That, indeed, is a piece of history vanishing. It will take some time until this happens out west...

Thanks interesting. Can I confirm that, while it's still there, it's no longer being used? hehe.

Obscure piece of ChinesePod trivia...
Notice the red "女" on the wall? We are actually standing in front of a piece of soon to be vanishing history. Behind us is one of the remaining few (hundreds) of trough toilets in Shanghai. When you come visit us, we can take you on a tour. ;)

RoninDC,
Who the girls are, from left to right:
Xiao Xia, Chinese teacher and co-host of the advanced lessons; Connie, Chinese teacher and host of Qing Wen, star of many of the dialogue recordings you know and love; Eileen, our customer service manager and woman of many talents; Zhang Na who is the voice you hear on the recordings for the expansion sentences and vocabulary words; Joy who does the sound editing and is the voice in some of the dialogues as well; oh yeah, then that's me; and of course Jenny, who is Jenny!

No, Bazza, it's only if you work there that you need to be good-looking. I was allowed to enter, myself ;-)

Art,
Thanks! Cool of you to share with the rest of us. When you win, we all win.
I have to say though, Eileen and Connie look a tiny bit red there. Have they been drinking on the job?

That's outrageously cool, Art. I definitely wouldn't have shared that. haha. Who are the girls who aren't celebs (yet) and what do they do?

John,
That's okay, John. But only I have Amber's email to authenticate mine's the original. As if that matters in our digital world. Can you spare some time to photoshop "Dear Art" on the picture? ;-)
