"Congratulations to the Chinese Music Group, who are July's winner of the most active group on ChinesePod.com.
The founder of the group, Bazza, will have a phone interview with ChinesePod hosts, Ken and Jenny, whilst Moderators marcelbdt, hitokiri6993 and boran have 2 months free premium access.
The additional members will have 1 month free basic access."
I feel totally undeserving , all the glory goes to Bazza, but I can't help wondering if anyone in this group has actually received the premium access? I have a basic subscription, and I certainly haven't.

hey, bazza, I received a message from chinesepod team. It said that we won the group competition, as a free user here, I wonder what is the difference between basic subscriber and free subscriber?

hey calkins,
I think the e-mails were different since the moderators won premium access while the rest of the members won basic access. In other words, if you are a paid subscriber and won access that's different than your current level than you'll need to let CPod know when you want to use your prize.
Note sure what premium members will do with their free month of basic access - maybe it can be used as a partial credit to the existing subscription.

Very strange...the email I got says:
If you are a Free or Basic subscriber, we will automatically upgrade your account for 30 days. If you are a Premium, Guided or Executive subscriber, simply email chinesepod@gmail.com when you want to utilize the Basic account.
If that's the case, then both of your accounts should have automatically upgraded. Maybe you guys got a different email since you're moderators.

An e-mail was sent earlier in the week to us stating:
If you are a Free or Premium user, we will automatically upgrade your account. If you are a Basic, Guided or Executive subscriber, simply email Chinesepod@gmail.com when you want to utilize the subscription.
I'm a basic member myself and will probably wait to upgrade until I have some more time to dedicate and really utilize the premium features.
