May 04, 2008 at 10:48 AM posted in General DiscussionI was listening to this song this morning and was wondering if you needed to understand all the lyrics of a song to experience the full emotion of it.
Maybe Cassie can be provide some good Chinese examples?

May 10, 2008 at 06:42 PMThey are kind of hard to find in Youtube...many are only called "tibetan song"...I was just lucky to find the one above... and maybe because it is so popular (at least in 2007). Uploaded just for you, wildjaks: insight in one of my personal experiences of this song ;-) (sorry for the quality..it was dark and late...)

you guys talking about that song 我爱你, 爱着你, 就像老鼠爱大米。。。??? Or something of this sort? (Is it Liudehua who sings it?) Who cries when listening to that song??? That I would find really hard to comprehend... Totally agree with calkins - for the Chinese version

I am sorry for reply you late. It has been a long day, so many works I need to do. I am not sure will I film my own performance, many things are still not decided. But if I get a chance, I think I will try to film some performances for the graduation for you.

bazza, I don't have tudou username but I can still use it. Youtube is very slow here so I prefer to use tudou. When you use tudou to watch some videos you can click the stop button and let it go first.先按暂停键,让它走完。

casie, do you have tudou username? I registered a while long but never used it much because it was really slow, but it's a lot faster now. Maybe because I have a better connection.

rjberki,
老鼠爱大米once was very famous here. When I was a freshman my foreign teacher taught us the English version.^_^ I agree with you, I prefer the Chinese version to the English version.

Yes, I vote for a recording of Casie's performance... or a personal invitation to come watch if I am in China when she does it. :)

yep, if the song had been in english I would have hated it. I just thought the whole thing was funny and it was popluar during one of my stays in China. I guess its a nostalgia thing.

Yes, YMCA also makes me cry, but not as much as "Cat's in the Cradle." Of course for differing reasons.
Perhaps this all depends on your cultural programming.

dave: curiously asking...how does YMCA make you cry? People in the Philippines go 發瘋 when they hear that.:)

Btw, I am preparing these three songs recently because I am going to sing a song in the party for graduation. May be I will choose the second one at last since it is the classic one. It is an oldie but a goodie.

May 04, 2008 at 03:33 PMHere is the third song named一路顺风,which also has the same meaning with the last one. Both of these two songs mean wish your friends good luck. " target="_blank">NameYourURL
