I've never heard of "sandwich patterns" before. So, this would be an open face sandwich, no?

While CPod is not as super transparent and personal as when it started, it is still nice to know how everyone is doing, especially when things change.

Jenny, Congratulations on the new addition and 加油 for keeping private family moments as private as you want.

@bodawei, BabelPod was once an effort by the CPod folks to help locate language exchange partners.  BablePod.com still redirects back here.

All things considered, I like the new layout.  I haven't had a chance to figure out how it all works now, but will give it some time for the dust to settle a bit.

Monotony or not, there is still interest. For example: http://www.monopolyinthepark.com/

I haven't been a newbie for a very long time, but it seems that regularly published new lessons help keep comments and community participation going as the community discusses the most recent lessons only for a week or so.

After the lesson becomes "old" I don't see too much further participation.  The old comments are there and are still useful, but they are still from the community at the time of lesson publication.

I hope there is still some way to keep newbies motivated and engaged not only with the content of CPod, but also with the community.  To me, this is probably the most valuable part of the CPod experience.

Listing from the web page seemed OK.  But this podcast didn't download through my iTunes feed.

I guess I continue to study Mandarin because it enriches my life.  I've started and stopped studying this a few times over the years and now, it's just part of my life.

In my mid twenties, I gave up after a couple quarters of jr. college courses.  This was too much to handle being a newlywed, working full time and attending graduate school.  Tried again about 8 years later only to stop and forget it again.

I finally figured out how to study a foreign language and have been making one last serious attempt for the past few years. This is my last attempt so it will either be successful or I'll never do it again.  So far, it is successful.

Aside from the link in this News and Features entry, how would one find ChinesePod's User Voice page?

I also see a link on the "Me" page.  (I just don't use that page too much.)
