This is that close to me but not that far. It's the tallest tower in the UK. 尔勒莫电视塔 - Emley Moor TV Tower Unfortunately it's closed to the public though, so you can't go to the top without a special permission.

Not really in my city, but what the Phlippines is known for: 长滩岛 (Boracay!).

Anyone know a good translation for "Cloud Gate"? This is one of my favorite pieces of Chicago art, done by British sculptor Anish Kapoor. I've searched the internet for a decent translation, but all I can come up with is 云彩门 yúncai mén.

According to what sophie20461 says in her Chinese post above, it is better to use 有 in spoken language and 拥有 in written/formal language. And 拥有 sometimes refers to very precious things (like love).

... and 拥有 and 有 can both be used. If you want to emphasize that you own the house, then 拥有 is better.

Hi wei1xiao4. I think the word order in your first sentence should be different. I would say it like this:

我在Atlanta, GA拥有一套房子.

Also, 套 is a better measure word for 房子 than 个.
