Anyone using CP on iPad?

July 25, 2011 at 01:42 PM posted in General DiscussionI mean doing the full experience, vocab, expansions, tests and all?
Just wondering if there is a way to play the sounds, and do the "reorder" and listening tests... Is there a tweak, or a better browser than safari that can do this?
Seems like a gigantic missed learning opportunity to be unable to do this. Just would like to hear if anyone tried at all, maybe I just don't know how to use safari, big apple newb here.

Hello, I made a dream and imagined that an iPad version of CP was existing ! ... that dream being real will really be on our terms (you're right Mr Root !)

The play audio buttons use Flash, so that's a no go on a browser on the iPad. The CPod iPhone app on the iPad will work though so you can play audio on the iPad that way.
I didn't try the exercises, but I'm guessing the audio part of the exercises uses Flash as well.
ChinesePod could add exercises to the iPhone app or change the audio buttons to use the HTML5 Audio tag. Either update is a major change.

Sigh, I see. Looks like I am SOL then. Oh well, back to being tied up with the netbook. It just seems so bulky and last decade to use CPod on a laptop, not very 'on my terms' at all.
Thanks for the info, hexu, though!
