December 21, 2010, 01:33 AMWe are always open to visitors! Just drop us a line - some days are better to visit than others as it's more fun when we're in the studios recording.

Okay, I plan to be in Shanghai within the next two or three weeks or so. How should I drop you a line? Should I continue to post to the community, or should I inbox someone?

The office is pretty quiet today because of the holidays, so I'll respond...feel free to PM me! We're looking forward to your visit!

December 21, 2010, 02:10 AMWooot! I'm hoping to come and visit for my 3rd time! I'm becoming a regular! :p lol.. I consider the hosts of ChinesePod to be my extended "Chinese" family, as I do all of my Chinese-based friends! So going to see them all is like that for me.. even if they get a little shy around my camera :) hehe..

December 22, 2010, 01:43 AMdoes anyone know any decent but somewhat cheap hostel I might stay at while in Shanghai? I plan to be there in January.

Try "Blue Mountain Youth Hostel".. Last year I would have said "City International" on Wunning Lu (near Caoyang Lu Subway Station) but when I was there earlier this year it seemed so unfriendly and "standard" by comparison to Blue Mountain. The Blue Mountain one is a little smaller but has a much friendlier atmosphere.

When you go to that website there is actually 2 locations. The one I stayed in has been renamed to "Blue Mountain EXPO" because it was one of the closest hostels to the expo.

Oh yes.. and just nearby there is a great "bread products" shop where you can get a really tasty breakfast that is not too Chinese and then sit in the park across the road from the hostel! :) That's not to say there are no Chinese food places around.. I mean.. it is China afterall.. but the point is that sometimes, especially in the morning, you really want to get a decent cup of coffee and some bread products in to you! :)

December 23, 2010, 10:39 PMRemember to take your camera with you to the ChinesePod office! :) Everyone likes to have their photo taken, right? :) haha.. but seriously, take it along and get some photos with the cast of the shows! It's fun! :)
