Actually, "Hollyweird" has improved a lot, it's nowhere near as dirty and there aren't so many freaks hanging out there anymore. I remember back in 93 I went there for an audition and in the middle of the day I was afraid for my life!
Around 2,000 it really started to improve, and it's getting better and cleaner all the time.
The thing that bothers me to no end about Hollywood is the massive proliferation of Tattoo parlors, they're more prevalent than restaurants!

September 12, 2008 at 1:12 AMYeah, I thought so too. Sometimes the camera would pan past the Vegetables and wouldn't stop to give you a good look at what it was. Maybe it was the circumstances surrounding the shoot. Shooting guerilla style is always just a matter of getting in and getting out before someone calls security! No time to perfect everything to exactly the way you want it.

Are you serious? You've gotta be kidding me! This is a joke right? You're just trying to get a rise out of people, is that it?
That says "BEAMER", with an M... as in BMW...the car.
"Put the top down on your BMW and head east."

I wonder why it translated the name "Jack" as "Czech Republic?" I thought I used the standard translation of the name "Jack". Google translated the name "Kevin" just fine.
Hmmm...lost in translation indeed.
It's hilarious to see how Google translated Kevin's dialogue after he became a "Philly" convert. I used the dialect of the Northeast (the dialect that the famous "Xiao3 Pin3" 小品 performer "Zhao4 Ben3 Shan1" 赵本山 to stand in for the "Philly" slang, so it's really funny to see how the Google Translator literally translated the 儿化音, er hua yin as "Children".
I'm also surprised the translator didn't recognize 送秋波 Song4 Qiu1 Bo1 (to make eyes at someone, to flirt with someone by making amorous glances at them).
Yes, definitely work on learning characters, with all deliberate speed! I highly recommend being literate at the earliest possible stage in the development of your Chinese.
Yes, Kevin definitely became a Stereotypical dude from Philly.
It would be hilarious to see a commercial like this for someone who soaks up L.A. "like a sponge"...I wonder what that would be like?

I never could understand what people see in, "In-N-Out". The burgers are alright, the fries, not as good as Carl's Jr or Jack In The Box's, "Natural Cut Fries".
Jack In The Box is the best fast food joint in So Cal...WHY?
Take a look!
