Oh, apparently it's 番茄炒蛋. fānzièchǎodàn

But usually called xīhóngshìchǎojīdàn 西红柿炒鸡蛋.

My guess would be because it's something that's happening now, it's already started. I've quite often seen 了 associated with something that's already happening?

Oh! The meal mentioned in this lesson is also one of my favourites! But I don't see the characters anywhere? I get 番茄 from the lesson, and I know 蛋... hmn, is the other word fried? zhà 炸?番茄炸蛋?

Oh, the IME wanted me to write 炸弹 - bomb! Bombed tomatoes...

That lesson was already pointed out when I posted that lesson request. It's not really very useful in terms of the particular situation I was talking about. Some of the language structure might be the same, but most of it won't.

English is mostly loan words! There's so much crossover in European languages, it's quite funny. You can trace tons of english words to French, German, Spanish, through their common ancestry etc. English is one of the few languages that doesn't have a "language commission" set up to protect it. I know the French fiercely protect their language, making up new words to prevent foreign loan words entering their lexicon.

I guess it's out of the scope of this site a little bit :-) But astrological systems tend to talk in such generalities that you can make them fit anything. So in as much as they are both generalised constructs around which you fit people, sure, you can fit them together. Doesn't make them any more meaningful or meaningless. They already contain inherent contradictions, so a few more doesn't hurt.
