March 3, 2008 at 2:46 PMIt's amazing what history will do for someone; he was a complete and utter bastard, ruthless and murderous to the core, yet 秦始皇 still gets to be called a Chinese Hero (with a few bad habits, such as mass murder ;). About the lesson length, I'd be fine with longer ones, to be honest. For example, it would have been cool if the students in this lesson did a role play involving 秦始皇 with some of his advisors, or his concubines, or some of the scholars he buried alive. I can imagine that the smart-alecky guy in the lesson would have a field day with that.

March 2, 2008 at 5:07 PM我不太相信那些科学家的试验结论。虽然他们试验的婴儿帮他们把小东东捡起来，可是除了利他主义的原因以外还有很多可能。比如说，他们会觉得这个动作很好玩儿，或着说，那些科学家的无声反应（微笑，等）会给他们带来一种自豪感。 我没有看那个试验的报道或文章，所以他们可能已经面对了这些问题。 By the way, "control group" 和 “experimental group” 怎么说？

March 1, 2008 at 9:59 AM我倒没有注意到很大的韩流这个现象。 在这里，最主要的是那些韩剧。由于中国电视剧一般没有韩剧那么厉害的肥皂剧的感觉，可以理解为什么它们会有那么大的吸引力。 而且，它们比中剧黄色多了。。。 ；）
