We think this Chinese name suits you much better.

你可以说:John P与你是"同宗"( of the same clan, have common ancestry )

Both of you have the same surname "潘", although he is from America and you are from down under.

Good name!!!

Hi Light487 !

We saw your unanswered comment on 27 October 2008 ( Newbie lesson :How is the weather? )

"好啊 "跟 "好儿" do not sound identical.

" 好儿" is not the Beijing accent for "好啊"

好儿 has the following meanings:-

1. favor;kindness (恩惠)

2. good;benefit (好处)

4. 好儿好女 ( good son and good daughter)

PS We think 鲁克 is a good Chinese name for you

HI! Jackngai

I saw your question posted 2 days ago. Here is the answer:

The wonderful mixture is called 鸳鸯(Yuan1 Yang1) or 鸳鸯 奶茶(Yuan1 Yang1 Nai3 Cha2)

It was first "invented" in HongKong in about 1952 by a cafe(兰芳园) owner

and has since become very popular with the locals.

鸳鸯 奶茶 is made up of 70% tea 30% coffee.

Apparently,

鸳鸯has the following original meanings:

1. Mandarin duck

2. An affectionate couple

PS. You must have migrated to America before the mixture was invented, right?

捐献=donate, donation 捐款=the amount of money donated
