October 26, 2010 at 12:25 PMHere in Beijing at least those >30k a month apartments are all paid for by companies as part of their ex pat packages. From what I have read they do this to persuade Western workers to come over here. Being that many of them are settled down with families, etc. many aren't up for the adventure someone of my circumstances would be. The neighborhoods I have been in seem like a Western country, and not China at all.
