September 18, 2011 at 6:22 PMThat link is weird. The characters used are ones I've never seen before used to discuss Chinese grammar. Could it be talking about Cantonese? I read grammar books in Chinese for fun, so I'm not a beginner. Those characters can't be right.

May 26, 2011 at 12:30 PMI am glad to see 敷衍 as a vocabulary word. It is quite versitile. 老舍uses it quite a bit in 四世同堂。What a great book. Highly recommend it！ I just started the second volume。I really hope the bad characters get it in the end. However, I love reading Lao She's depiction of his bad characters真讽刺。
