November 29, 2008 at 5:01 PMThis was a great lesson! I can relate to this tourist type stuff and I actually understood most of it! Maybe because I experienced alot of that while in Beijing. I think it triggered some things in my memory. I heard a great man once say "You know more than you think you know!" It makes sense in a strange way! haha!
Can you guys do a similar one for Shanghai that would include the major attractions such as the Bund, Yuyuan Gardens, and Nanjing Lu??

Our friend Bababardwan is a great job of explaining it...
I believe you really can Pay it Forward in many different ways including teaching someone a new language! You have selflessly devoted hours of time to help us with Chinese. So many people now feel as though they want to help others with English. Then those people that we help might be inspired to help others. It's basically a chain reaction of goodwill. It really is a very simple but beautiful concept. Imagine what the world would be like if everyone practiced this daily. I suspect it would be a much more peaceful place.

I also think Englishpod will be a big hit. I noticed many of the "regulars" here are already checking it out and helping out our foreign friends. So looks like you got a good trend starting to happen here! Now i can be like our dear cassie and offer advice to help others...kind of like a "Pay it Forward" thing...
