Hi zbloom,

Can't remember exactly what it covers, but this lesson is probably a good place to start:

Eh?

I'm pretty sure credit card and debit card have the same meaning throghout the English speaking world.

Credit card: You make the purchase on credit (i.e. you temporarily borrow the money from the credit card company to make the purchase)

Debit Card: The money is directly debited from (taken out of) your bank account.

Is this not the case? (I'm British, BTW and this is how we use the terms)

Great question! I hope you can get an "official" answer, but for what it's worth, your attempt sounds good to me.

Baba's right, I think. The 来 here is not indicating "come“。 It's part of a pattern: 以A来B (which you can think of as something along the lines of "by (way/means of) A, do/achieve B).

请问,我有一个关于“听脉搏”的问题。为了量脉搏,我们一般把手指安在脖子(或者手腕 )上。这样的话也会用“听”这个动词吗?

When answering the phone, Chinese people usually use 哪位? (nǎwèi?) You can say 你哪位?(nǐ nǎwèi?) or 你是哪位? (nǐ shì nǎwèi?). If you want to be extra polite you could say 请问,你/您 哪位? (qǐngwèn nǐ/nín nǎwèi?).
